Zeya is a media player that lets you bring your music to any computer with a web browser.
The client runs in any browser that supports the HTML 5 draft standard technologies— no Flash needed. No Silverlight, no applets, no plugins, no external players.
Zeya is free software. You may use it under the terms of the GNU Affero GPL, v.3 or (at your option) any later version.
* Python 2.5+ (2.6+ recommended)
* mpg123 (optional— for decoding MP3 files)
* flac (optional— for decoding FLAC files)
Install and Run zeya
Zeya can be easily installed by running this command in Applications->Accessories->Terminal
sudo aptitude install zeya
Then start Zeya and serve all the music within a given directory:
zeya --path path/to/your/music
For example,serve all the music in ~/Music folder:
zeya --path ~/Music/
Now,you can get them in any computer by visiting http://ServerIPAddress:8080 with a web browser.
If you want to change the server port,add –port parameter in the command:
zeya --port=9000 --path ~/Music/
