Window-list is an application indicator to display a list of all current open windows on Unity panel. Windows can be activated by selecting them from the menu list.
Window-list is available for all versions of Ubuntu running Unity.
For now, Ubuntu 12.10 quantal, 12.04 precise, 11.10 oneiric, and 11.04 natty can install window-list from developer James Wigley’s ppa: ppa:jwigley/window-list (see how to add ppa, or use following commands)
Just launch terminal from the dash home, or press Ctrl+Alt+T. Then execute following three commands to install it from the ppa:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jwigley/window-list sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install window-list
Then, launch window-list from the dash home. It’ll auto-start at next log in.
