Assume that you always open multiple file edit windows, terminals, etc at same time on the Uinty deskotp while working. It’s inconvenient to fast and accurately switch to one between these window copies.
Now what if that Unity quicklist lists window name for each copy to provide fast navigation between them?
The Unity Window Quicklists was written by Alan Bell, it works both on Unity 2D and 3D.
To install it, Ctrl+Alt+T to open up a terminal window and add ppa:alanbell/unity
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:alanbell/unity sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install unity-window-quicklists
After that, edit /etc/xdg/autostart/unity-window-quicklists.desktop with command:
sudo gedit /etc/xdg/autostart/unity-window-quicklists.desktop
change line 8 OnlyShowIn=UNITY; to OnlyShowIn=Unity;.
Now log out and back in to test effect.
