Search and read E-book using FBReader

FBReader is an e-book reader for various platforms. Currently FBReader works on Linux desktop,Windows XP/Vista,FreeBSD and Various linux-based mobile devices.FBReader supports many e-book formats including ePub,fb2,plucker,Non-DRM’d version of Mobipocket, and so on.Network book search also supported in FBReader.
Install FBReader
FBReader can be installed from Synaptic(System->Administration->Synaptic Package Manager),just search “fbreader”(without quotes) in search area,mark and apply to install.
Alternatively,install the latest version from the repository:
Edit /etc/apt/source.list:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

add following lines:

deb http://www.fbreader.org/desktop/debian stable main
deb-src http://www.fbreader.org/desktop/debian stable main

Install the GPG key:

wget http://www.fbreader.org/desktop/debian/geometer.fbreader.org.asc
apt-key add geometer.fbreader.org.asc

Update and install fbreader:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install fbreader

optional by default, gtk+ interface module will be installed. If you prefer to use FBReader with qt (or with qt4) inreface, run with root privileges

apt-get install libzlui-qt

or

apt-get install libzlui-qt4

Launch FBReader:Applications->Office->E-book reader
