AniBG is a frontend to xwinwrap, allows you to put videos and screensaves on your desktop.AniBG is based on coolbg and has all of coolbg’s features.

So far,AniBG works on Ubuntu 10.10 and 10.04.I tried it on my Ubuntu 10.10 amd64,and it works well, following is what I did.

First,download Shantz-XWinWrap.deb and anibg.deb

Then, install the depend packages. When I was installing anibg.deb,it prompted to install following packages.(I don’t know if it is required in 32-bit system.).Run the command in Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal:

sudo apt-get install libgle3 xscreensaver-data-extra xscreensaver-gl-extra

Finally,double-click to install the downloaded two deb packages. Shantz-XWinWrap.deb first, and then anibg.deb.

Launch AniBG from Applications -> Accessories menu, and you will see a shortcut icon on top-right.Single-click to enable anibg, select background, and configure anibg to auto-start in Preferences
