Easystroke is tiny GUI tool which you can launch your applications with a simple mouse gesture in anywhere of your screen.
In following picture,I make a T in my desktop and it brings up a terminal window:

1.To install easystroke,go to Applications->Add&Remove….Search”easystroke”(Select all available applications in Show scroll-down menu).Mark easystroke in lists and click Apply to install.
2.Now,launch easystroke from Applications->Universal Access menu.(Click the icon on right top of your screen to see its main window).

In Preferences tab, click on Gesture Button.I set it to Ctrl+Button1(Ctrl+mouse left click).Check “Autostart easystroke” if you want this autorun when login.
3.Then in Actions tab, select Add Action.
Name:type a name for your application you want to launch with mouse gesture.
Type:Command,by default.
Details:Type the command to launch this application.

Now,Click Record Stroke.Don’t care the pop up window.Press down Ctrl+Left click(the gesture button) and make a letter (such as T for terminal, S for firefox 3.5).
4.In anywhere of your deaktop, press down the gesture button(Ctrl+Left click in my case) and make a letter as you want. And the matched application will start up.
