Sugar is a desktop environment that originally developed for the One Laptop per Child XO-1 netbook, Sugar runs on most computers. Sugar is free and open-source software.
Sugar is available as a package from Synaptic.So go to System->Administration->Synaptic Package Manager.
Type sugar in Qucik search field.
Right click on checkbox sugar and select Mark for installation,and click Mark in following window.
Also right click on checkbox sugar-activities,select mark for installation.
Click on Apply in Synaptic window to start install packages.
When the installation finish,run this in terminal:
gconftool-2 -s /desktop/sugar/desktop/favorites_layout -t string ring-layout
Now,log out and click Options->select Sessions->Sugar in login window to start Sugar desktop.
