Install Picasa 3.5 in Ubuntu with Wine

Picasa is a photo organizer from google,by now it has 3.5 released for Windows which you can organize your photos based on what matters most: the people in them. In this new version, you can also more easily geotag photos using Google Maps, plus import photos from your camera and upload them to Picasa Web Albums in one step.

This tutorial shows how to install picasa 3.5 in ubuntu with wine.

Preparing for Picasa 3.5

Before I install Picasa 3.5 in my Ubuntu,I have Picasa 3.0 installed and I don’t know whether it matters or not.

Click here to download picasa3.0 and just click on it to install.

If you have not installed wine,click here for installing latest version of wine.

Now,you can download the picasa 3.5 package.Double click on this package and wine will auto-start to install this package.

Once done,you can open picasa 3.5 from Applications->Wine->Programs->Picasa3
