This simple tutorial shows how to install LibreOffice 3.6.0 in Ubuntu. This release is bit-for-bit identical to the 3.6.0 Release Candidate 4, so you don’t need to download or reinstall if you have that version already.

First of all, download .deb packages of Main Installer and built-in help

for 32-bit (x86):

Main Installer

LibreOfficee built-in help

for 64-bit (x86_64):

Main Installer

After downloading, extract the packages, you’ll find a list of .deb packages. Before installing them, hit Ctrl+Alt+T to launch terminal and run this command to remove old version of LibreOffice:

sudo apt-get purge libreoffice-core

Then install all the .deb packages. I recommend to do it in terminal, navigate to extracted folder and install all deb with one command:

cd ~/Downloads/LibO*

sudo dpkg -i *.deb
