JDiskReport enables you to understand how much space the files and directories consume on your disk drives, and it helps you find obsolete files and folders. The tool analyses your disk drives and collects several statistics which you can view as overview charts and details tables.

Here’s how to install jdiskreport in Ubuntu Linux using PPA. GetDeb repository provides latest packages for Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal, and 12.04 Precise. It also contains packages for Ubuntu 11.10, 11.04, and 10.04, but they are old.

Add GetDeb.net repository:

There are two ways to add getdeb.net repository, the easy one is to download and double-click to install this deb package.

Then hit Ctrl+Alt+T, copy and paste this command into terminal and hit enter to update:

sudo apt-get update

After that, you can go to getdeb.net or using apt-get command in terminal to install packages.

After adding getdeb.net repository, run this command in terminal to intall JDiskReport:

sudo apt-get install jdiskreport
