Comments on: Different wallpapers on each workspace in ubuntu

Now, I can’t even minimize or use ALT+TAB. I have to close the window every-time I wish to do something else. I have to open some other file as text file using Firefox( or any other web browser) to use the Internet. I need your help urgently.

Hey, I use ubuntu 11.10. I just installed compiz and tried something. Now, I don’t have the menu I get when I move my cursor to the left of my screen. I don’t have close/ minimize buttons any more. I don’t even know to open the terminal without using that menu. I don’t know what to do. How do I get back the settings I previously had. I’m a newbie and I have been using linux only for a few weeks. Please help me.

When I went to the preferences folder in the configuration editor, there was no “show_desktop” option. Any suggestions from where to go from here?

Works on Ubuntu 11.04. Had to install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra first to get Wallpaper under Compiz.

sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra

When we doing something in ubuntu, for example change the system etc, we usually have another effect.
So I think thats why,, ubuntu can make us more smart

Depends on what Ubuntu version you using. It has a bug on 10.10 Maverick.
