Apache-Switch is an indicator on Ubuntu panel to easy start, stop, or restart Apache web server. It runs on Gnome, KDE, and Xfce so far, and KDE must have GTK library installed.

Install Apache-Switch

Just download the deb from its homepage, and then double click to install or use dpkg -i command.

It only provides deb for 32-bit Ubuntu so far. I tried in my Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit with the command:

sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture apache-switch_*.deb

After installation, the indicator can be found at Applications → Accessories → Apache-Switch for GNOME(Xfce), and K-menu → Utilities → Apache-Switch for KDE.
